Pinhooking involves purchasing foals or yearlings with the intention of reselling them at a later date for profit.

The O'Connor Stud acquires foals at the annual autumn sales, with plans to resell them the following year. Pinhooking is a well-established practice within the bloodstock industry, and many investors have achieved significant returns on their initial investments.

We strive to provide new investors with opportunities to enter this exciting market by pairing them with carefully selected bloodstock, aimed for resale approximately 9 months later.

BROODMARES (LONG-TERM INVESTMENT)

For investors seeking a longer-term strategy, purchasing broodmares to breed their own bloodstock can be an appealing option. Once a broodmare is acquired, she is sent to a stallion for coverage, and the resulting progeny can be sold as a foal or yearling in the future.
